Stream: synergy meeting vol.2 - abstracts

2019 - interactive technology improvisation meeting

Three short structured improvisation pieces experiment with the interactive possibilities that arise through the use of inertial and mechanical sensors on the dancers’ arms and their application to musical and sonic parameters. Each composer and performer explores a unique approach.

Supported by the Transfer International programme of the NRW Kultursekretariat, Düsseldorf, Stream aims to bring together forward-thinking artists from the fields of contemporary dance, music, and the performing arts in general. It encourages collaboration and experimentation, while it embraces and repurposes new technologies, both functionally and aesthetically.
